Thanks for the pics, I now know what my problem is! You must put the spring on the air screw thingy before you put it in. That is why I couldn't get it to idle correctly! Good write up man!

Cool to do a write for newbies at carb cleaning..but the air screw your taking out in first pic is not the pilot jet!! Pilot is next to main jet..gonna need a skinny flathead to remove..

i agree it looks like the pilot jet was not even addressed in this write up.Which is the one that gets clogged the most.

I didn't even catch that! I just new that my idle issue wasn't right and putting that spring on the air screw , I was able to get it right on a 1 and 3/4 turns out, gave me the best clean response on accel and decel.

My pilot jet didnt have a spring...just a o ring around ot

Did this last week. Carb is clean now. You could lick it if you wanted to it is so clean.
