i just wanted to know if anyone knows how to keep the kick start from swinging around and hitting you in the shin.. its pissing me off. i don't want to buy a new kick start.
If you take your kickstart apart, there should be a spring and a metal ball inside of it. The metal ball is a little bigger then a bb. Chances are either the parts aren't in there or the little spring is damaged and isn't allowing the ball to do its job.
yea mind doesn't have it in there.. and i just checked the parts place i get my parts from and they done care it... do you know where i can get it or get a pic of it so i try piecing together the pieces
alright thanks.. i just read in the arcives someone fixed theres with a bb and a ball point pen spring... im going ot take it apart and see what i can do...there is no deal wear i live. the closet one is like 40miles away.
you cant order just those 2 parts. ive tried. you gota figure something out. its like mine, i had to get the right size ball, i still need a new spring. the clutch pushrod ball in this one old scrap engine at my local shop worked well, forget what it was. but somethin the right size.
i used a spring from a pen a stretched it out and used a piece off my fishing lure that is a hair bigger then a bb.. it worked for a day..lol the ball i used is to small and pushed into the hole. i tried all kinds of diffrent bb type things and still havent found something to work right..
we use these for manual boost controlers on turbo cars.. except we ordger them from grainger... there is aball and spring in side. the spring will hold 15 psi of boost pressure... http://3barracing.com/product_7.htm
the balls is bigger than a bb but not huge.. may work perfect for you
