Alright my buddy has an outlaw 500 (completely stock) and my dad has an outlander 800. They both have the same top end (70) because i raced him on it last year. Im wondering how close i can come racing them with a setup: .02 over, K&N, LRD exhaust/Trenga Silencer, 14Tooth front sprocket, and 18's in the rear. Cause i raced my dad's across the yard (600ft.) and it stayed right next to itB) (with the 13Tooth front) tho im sure he'd pull once top end came into play.

I would think the outlaw would win, the outlaw has the power of a 450 if im correct so it should win. but go for it anyways

It sounds like you already know the answer and you have access to both, so I'm not sure why you're asking.

The usual response to the "Can my blaster beat a ______" question...

They are both way faster than your blaster. The Outlaw puts out about 50hp and it will spank you, and those outlanders are very fast utility quads as well. In loose terrain those bigger utility quads can actually surprise 450's once in awhile too. Go race a kawasaki prairie 800 one day and you'll know what I mean.

Before you guys go giving the canned Polaris opinions, the newer Polaris quads are no slouches, especially after purchasing a portion of KTM and using the 525 and 450 motors.

The Outlaw 500 was an in between version, using the same motor as the Predator 500. Newer ones got the KTM motors. That said, I own both a Predator and two blasters and the Predator will spank em all day long.

This is really a question of gearing. Yeah, you could gear it so that you can beat a 500 off the line or in the long run, but you will be hard pressed to do both.
