would ye recomend to buy that one or go for genuine yamaha for about another 100euro:-/

ive never heard anything bad about hot rods. when i rebuild my bottom end im going to use a set like this, Yamaha Blaster Crankshaft Gaskets Seals Bearings Wiseco:eBay Motors (item 280385676172 end time Aug-22-09 10:58:47 PDT) this set comes with bearings, seals, and gaskets all for a lower price.

i dont intend to do another rebuild for few years cos im not racing! are they good? do they hold up 4 a good while?

ya, ive heard good things, and cranks are pretty solid parts, not usually one that fails... are you getting a stroker crank?

i have the hot rods crank, after my dealer who was just assembling my motor, told me i needed a new crank, he was wrong, but i let him sell me one anyway, i just wanted my motor back, but paid like $180 thru them, and i insisted on a "hot rods", i've heard stronger and lighter than stock
i've seen 'em on ebay for about $50 less, only had for 6 months, so cant give ya a long term report, only my opinion,....................... get the 'hot rods"

a stroker crank is a crank with a longer stroke than stock, i think stock stroke is 57mm, so when people say like"i got a +3 stroker crank".. means he got a crank assembly that increased the stroke with a 60mm crank. increasing stroke means more torque and power potential, if done to coordinate with mods like porting and port matching, big carb, good pipe, and so on...

Yes your right, ports most be matched up for a strong TQ curve and power curve. The stock stroke is 57mm

Is a spacerplate included in the Hot Rods crank? . . Like VITO´s +3 crank? There is a spacerplate included so the ports match.

The hot rods stroker is a +4 you need the cases trenched, and I dont think it comes with a spacer plate so the head needs to be re worked.
