Hay all, how’s it going. New to the forum, not new to riding, but new-ish to ATVs. I have a few smaller quads for the family but I started looking for something a little bigger. I found a Blaster for what I think is a good price, (yes believe it or not the blaster is bigger than everything else I have right now) and just had a quick question. I have read a few posts that everyone says the blaster is a pretty good trail ride which is something I am looking for. The blaster I am looking at right now is in pieces and if I understand the gentleman correctly I can basically pick the parts I want to put it together with... My question is, I am 5'6" 200lbs (yes I am a little chunky) and am currently trail riding with the family. I have no intentions of going to the dunes. Of the parts in the pile there is a stock swing arm and what is claimed to be a 2" extended swing arm. Which would be better for trail riding? I would assume the stock keeping things short and giving the blaster a tighter turn.
And in case you are wondering it is $300 for one ride or he said I could have everything for $500 (2 frames, 2 swing arms, 2 sets of front rims, not sure what else is there I am going tomorrow to take a look). I am of course going to offer a little less for the whole pile of parts so we will see what happens.
Thanks in advance.
Mike.
