Help with rear axle bearings!!!

My quad keeps going through bearings on the left side (chain/sprocket) side of my axle. I have replaced the bearing and seal three times and each time it lasts no longer than one day before the bearing is shred to peices again.

Today the bearing only lasted about 3 min. I dont understand why it keeps doing this.


My axle doesn't look bent, i know i am putting it together right, with grease and in the right procedure. Could it be my bearing carrier? it does look pretty mushroomed and warn on the chain side but the bearing still sits tight. Also the collar looked to be in ok condition each time as well.

Im stuck, and need help. :/

Do the bolts on the chain slack adjusters look like there out the same disntance.Maybe the housing is in crooked

yah i think they were about the same distance, ill double check...Im thinking maby its my collar because i took a closer look and the edges look sort of chewed up. Im still not totally sure if that little bit could cause such an issue in such time??

im having exacxtly the same problem, im wondering if there should be a tube between the two sets of bearings?

on my old quadzilla there was so im guessing the axle tightened against this tube rather than just the bearings.

Speedy, i'd definately check that there is an inner sleeve between the two bearings, mine have been doing the same and im convinced that its because the sleeve is missing

yea u should have a sleeve that goes over the axle and between the bearings.are u cleaning all the of junk out of it before u put new ones in?

haha, the chain adjuster is whack got myseld a new carrier now for £20, good price i reckons

All Blasters have a bearing spacer in the carrier. Without it, the axle will overload the inner races of the bearing. Yamaha sells it for about $30. Any pipe of the same ID and OD will work. Make sure the pipe is the same length that the bearings are spaced apart.
