Okay these are the options to the only pipes and slincer sets i would buy.

I want to match my pipe and silencer to my mods i have and will have soon

Reeds
Bigger jets of course
Uni filter
No filter cover
Trail rider

So which pipe and silencer matches my mods..

are you planning on ever doing any porting or major engine work and what kinda trails do you ride tight trails or nice open trail were you can get some speed up cause these are all factors of what kinda pipe kit to buy

toomey = topend (i love it, don't mention the sound of it)
pro circuit = out of the question
shearer = not gonna talk about it cause ive never heard bad or good things about it
factory 7 = has the best all around power out of the others i believe

omg.....im soooooosooooososooooo tired of everyone saying f7 and power pros.........kennedy dynoed the pipe and it sucked...then hecompared it to the sheare and the sheare kicked its butt...f7=suck

the best all around pipe for trail riding and bottom end is the Matt Sheare custom made pipe

I know the shearer pipe is great but how can you say that the F7 sucks? I looked at Kennedy's dyno sheets from "the ultimate pipe test" and saw nothing comparing the two in any way. So if he thinks it sucks so bad, wouldn't he show us that on a dyno readout? Not trying to start anything, just my $.02

uhh bud he did show us...one night in the chat box...i beleive it was me and blasterdude14 talkin to kennedy and he told us everything.......he said the F7(power pros) was just a hacked up motorcycle pipe with a colorful silencer......im not tryin got start anything either....im just tell yall what the "professional" told me

I remember that........... I still have my opinions and its not fact untill I see the same bike with the power pros run then the shear run..... AND NOT BUY ANGUS!! I'm sure he know his sh*t but as a dealer for vitos and shear hes going to make the pipe hes tring to sell look best... I want an un-biest person to do the tests... but even thats not fair because a shear and the power pros both are ment for a specific set up, one or the other wouldn't perform to the best of their abilities.

very true both pipes are made for different setups while the shearer pipe is made for both stock and heavily modded engines. the f7 or any of the power pros pipes are pipes for one particular setup. IMO and mostly everyone elses i believe the shearer is the best all around but with the right setup the f7 or any of the power pros pipes will likely perform better than the shearer.

also i believe that most people are just going by what they have heard about certain pipes. some of us(not me) have tried different pipes and would reccomend them. and most likely if one person has only used on particular pipe they would be biased towards that pipe and tend to reccomend it with DG fmf and pro circuit being excluded from those reccomendations gennerally. anyone can just hear about a pipe and automatically reccomend it even though they have not actually used that pipe. so therefore most of us are just going by our opinions rather than having actual knowledge of testing those pipes. im not trying to say that any of our opinions dont count im simply stating that we may be biased toward a certain pipe based only on what we have heard about it. if you are looking for a good pipe i reccomend talking to builders about what pipe would work best with your riding style also talk to people who are using the pipe that you are leaning towardst to get their opinion on that pipe.

I do agree with blasterdude27, I would welcome anyone to spend a afternoon testing pipes at my shop. If anyone is local, from the Michigan area, and would like to come over and see the pipe test, that would be great. I would also tune your bike for free and if you bring a friend, we will tune both bikes.
This way we can have other members from the Forum see with thier own eyes.
I would also like to bring up the fact that you can have more then one pipe for your bike. This is a test that I have done and it worked out very well.
I set up a blaster for the Shearer pipe, and then tuned the bike.
Once compete, I switch over to the Vito pipe, and ran it back to back on the dyno.
I informed the customer that he could purchase both pipes and use the Vito for the dunes and use the Shearer for the trails. He has been using both pipes for over a year.
You could aslo have a LRD pipe and say it works graet for the dunes and switch to the Shearer pipe for the trails.
If anyone is intested in helping out with pipe tests, please PM me
Thanks
