Okay guys im stuck, I am in the process of breaking in my motor but when Im done with that I need to jet it properly. I have no clue what A pilot jet is but my main is a 320. I think it blew up because it was to high or too low idk, But what I have is k&n air filter, airbox lid removed, oil block off, klotz always ran, pro circuit exhaust, bored .040 with wiseco piston, STOCK CARB, Im not sure what else I have I think thats it. Can I use a #30 pilot jet and just find the right main jet?

How many threads are you going to open in 24hrs with the same Questions , I suggest you Wait until people post in the first 3 or 4 threads you started

You need a # 35 pilot jet and around a 290 main jet with the mods you have listed. Read up on jetting here and you'll learn how to do a few plug chops to confirm that your jetting is correct.

Yeah i seen plug chops but whats the main one you want to look at ? The main jet or the pilot? Could I just put a 35 pilot in and be good and find a good main jet? or Do I have to keep adjusting both?

The pilot willl be fixed. Once you set it, you're done there. The airscrew can be adjusted for best idle performance after that. The main jet is the most important jet for the longevity of your top end, and it is the one you change based upon the results of your plug chop.

Okay cool so Ill put a 35 pilot in it and keep the 320 and see where im at. Ill move down from there. What color should the plug be after plug chop?

Okay thanks guys and one more thing, I just rebuilt my motor and went straight to riding it very slow and steady about half throttle. I didnt do the heat cycles, you think ill be okay? or should I do them now?

i dont think my motots damaged or anything. If I take my bike to my local Yamaha will they jet it right?

Well either way the way to look at it is, whats done is done. No reversing it so why stress about it? If it still runs decent then who knows it should be fine. And yes they will but you will pay for it. And you won't learn how to do it yourself. Is it rich or lean?

pro circuit, oil block off, k&n, lid off, boyeson reeds, klotz oil, stock carb. about it

Okay guys, I just ordered a 35 pilot, 260,270,280,290,300,310, and I have a 320 main. So I hope this will be enough jets to get it going right.

Unless you have some pretty wild mods, the stock #32.5 pilot jet is what you need to fit.

If you don't get the idle right, you will chase your tail on the other jetting.

Was a leak down test done before you started the motor, if not, do one before you attempt jetting?

I have full pro circuit, boyeson reeds, wiseco forged, k&n air filter, air box lid removed, oil block off, and thats about it. Some guy on here said I would need a 35 pilot. Or should i just keep the stock?
