i always wear mine when I am actually riding. If I am just warming the bike up before a ride or loading/unloading it i dont wear one. but then again I am not getting out of 2nd gear then.

Just be careful in the state parks. I know around here it doesn't matter weather your loading it or riding it. If your setting on it and its running you have to have a helmet on. If not you get a $75 fine.

I never wore helmets on atv`s until I rolled a YFZ450. I wear a helmet every ride now. I have always worn helmets on dirt bikes though.

Thanks ..Of course when I got mine my wife HAD to have one! They do make a cheaper version with fiberglass added thats way cheaper.

i always wear it now, a while back i hit a log with my front tire, it kicked up and smashed me right next to my right eye, 17 stiches later i said, no more riding without a helmet

don't wear one when i'm just ripping around the yard, and usually wear one on a ride.

i do believe in helmets tho. my $600 arai saved my noggin when i wrecked my crotchrocket.
