my head keeps coming loose and i always make sure i tourque it down to the right specs and none of the studs are stripped but it keeps coming lose eveery few rides and its really pissing me off, does anyone know how to fix this?

i have a cometic EST head gasket on mine and i torqued it one time when it was installed in april and never again (wich is what cometic claims they do). to this day there is not a single drop of spooge leaking out so mabey give one of those a try next time???

are you using flat washers under the nuts? re torq after approx 1- 11/2 hrs run time??

yea are you using washers under the nuts all the same thickness, and put a little oil on the tread to torq it correct, must be able to finger tighten them all the way before torqing. re torq after approx 1- 11/2 hrs run time if needed. Washers keep it from reaching the end of the threads on each head bolt for a consistant torq.

I would use lock washers , tighten , heat cycle , retorque and that should do it . You might have stretched headbolts you might wanna get a new set the next time you do a top end
