hard time starting (another)

I wouldnt jump to conclusions and say thats the answer to your prob without really knowing. Theres alot of things that can cause this. IMO without other information it sounds like cracked or broken reeds.

i didnt mean i was gettin the parts. i just meant i was finally gonna get a multimeter

slick i dunno. the old lady is bein a pain in my arse bout it . uggggh. trick or treating is from 3-6 and we have to go to monroeville mall before that. ill let ya kno after i beat her down.lol i wanna meet up man

Call or text me! I should be home, my kids will probably be out and the wife should be home too. Gonna do some plug chops today 170 main was reallllllly rich.

alright just alil update. i was playin with it awhile and itll barely idle at all but when i turn the choke on itll let me rev it all day. got a multimeter but just neeed to kno wat to set it at.(stupid question for a stupid noob)

Hey bro, if your checkin volts it'll be D/C volts this sign ( -- ) if your checkin Ohms then the little omega lookin sign (Ω). Make sure you have the leads plugged in to the correct slots. Black is COM. Call me if ya have any problems.-Bob

Now you are talking about a fuel problem. If it won't idle without the choke then you are lean. Try turning in the mixture screw.

Since it is likely you have already tried that, you might want to clean the carb, paying special attention to the pilot jet and idle circuit passage.

cleaned the carb inside and out yesterday and no change.ima change the fuel out and see wat happens. just thinkin maybe water in with the gas. dunno.

if pullin the choke semi corrects the problem, then it's definately fuel/carb related, fresh fuel first, then leakdown test also, could be severe airleak,
better get it figured out before ya fry sumthin !!!!!
then i'd check the fuel line to see if the petcock screens are clean and lettin fuel to the carb, unhook it and turn on the gas, if good then move on to the floats, pull them and see if sumthin is cloggin the float valve, then set the floats to 20 - 21.5mm from where the gasket would sit to the top of the floats, < all while holding the carb at a 45 degree angle so the float tab is touching the needle, but not depressing it, then bend the little tab accordingly to get the correct measurement if needed

will do. oh just wandering but that needle that runs down the middle of the carb down to the bowl, is that suppose to have a clip or sumthin to hold it in cuz i almost lost it yesterday while cleaning the carb. maybe thats part of the problem????
