getting a ltz tomorrow

I remember a few months back someone posted a blown up 03 ltz for $600 in Delaware. I contacted him within the hour of it posted and there was already 4 people who wanted it. So you killed it with this deal lol.
my dad told someone at his work about it and they wanted to buy it now but im gonna fix it ride it a lil and sell it or trade for a modded blaster

you can spend a lot of money on it to make it race ready. the biggest thing to do to make it race worthy would be a big bore kit, aftermarket cams and a quality suspension.

well where I race I couldent use a bbk id have to leave it stock but I wanted to get a set of webber cams and it was gonna be like $1000 for the set

Make sure you check out why the cam gear broke, to break a gear like that one would have to be very heavy handed and fumble fisted.

Make sure that things are in the correct place and nothing is jamming anywhere.

i noticed one of the cam holders has a small crack im gonna have it welded because I cant find one on ebay
 
I am anyways very wary when I get something given to me to fix, if the owner says it just broke.

What did they do wrong to make it break, what did they force, what did they do wrong.

What else have they done that caused the breakage, I always look a lot deeper into the problem so that when I replace the broken part, I do not get a nasty surprise.
