is running 14/40 gearing the same as putting 22 in tires on the back cuz my blaster came with brad new razrs in 22'' and idk if i should put 14 tooth sproket on or would it take away a lot of bottom end

You'll gain speed and loose acceleration. If you are unsure about it just try the 14tooth and if it dosen't fit your riding style switch back to a 13. Those are some big razrs.

Funny, we just dropped to a 12/40 on a 660 raptor with I think those same tires, hmmm maybe they are 20's regardless 13/40 was too high be-bopping the trails for my older boy (he is a rhino) & my wife complained also, can't imagine how gutless a blaster would be at 14/40 alot of clutch action.

Had to test the boys bike after the sprocket swap today doing doughnuts, those new tires dont like doughnuts, but i got them to give in I:I

22" tires or 20" with 14 gearing,i would say 20" tires with 14,40 and 22'' 14,40 with some mods like porting, pipe filter open air box jets.

mine would pull my 220lb ass with 22" carlisle knobby's and 14/40 gearing, at the time i had a waaay too big 36mm carb, still had a hard time keeping the front end on the ground

Love your piston and trans don't kill them just go 14,40 20"tires or 14,40 with mod's.

I just read not to long ago you burned your top end up so i would not doubt you did wheelies running lean 1234 maybe 5.

where did you read i burnt up my top end, i did BUY it with a burnt up top end. my trans jammed up, but i'm pretty sure that i got a fork in wrong. but the top end looks just like when i put it on.........

but if everything is working correctly on the bike, i wouldn't be afraid of running 14/40 and 22" tires
