As in heavy duty truck. Say 600 series and up. Dump truck/flat bed. If anybody has one or know somebody that has one...I have a 370 w/ 5spd. I bought this to put in my F350. I have since found a hobby that is better suited and more rewarding than bullshit trucks.

I know what I paid for it ($900). I drove the truck that this engine/trans came out of. I really didn't agree with how they got it out (cut the driveshaft and shifter) but other than that...it's fine. Oh, little dent in the valve cover but Cobra valve covers would look better anyway.

4 barrel and all bolt ons are there. Hydraulic pumps in excellent shape.

Anyway, I thought I'd post it up for sh*ts and giggles. It's off topic for sure. I hate to solicit on forums but you never know. Might find some common ground.

kind of expensive if ya ask me, but good luck

It was indeed expensive. I was more or less just helping the guy out. Said I paid $900...didn't say asking $900.

Looking for trades. Maybe???

Something for the kids to ride????

Maybe...

Someone who needs this motor and doesn't really need a...???

correct. very much correct. The 370 is in the 4.85 series so named for the stroke of the 460. In this family there are the 370 - 429 - 460. The 370 is and always will be a 370. The 429 can be made a 460 - the 460 can be made a 429. The 370 is torque monster. Designed to turn 4 grand all day. Would be a mud bog king but I lost interest with my new found, easily transported, financially stable atv hobby

feel ya there man about tryin to trade it for somethin but not to be mean or anything but i honestly wouldnt say its worth more then 300 but thats just my opinion

That rules you out then, huh? These go for $700+ without the transmission. At some point, somebody might chime in in need of this motor which is the only reason I posted here. I really don't care if it sells, trades, or stays here. I'm not paying eBay a huge final value fee and I'm not hassling with craiglists when I am on this forum all the time.

A reman from Ford will run $3k and then some if the bolt ons are shot. You're looking at less than $900 for a motor than will drop right in and run give or take some final adjustments.
