i was thinkin bout gettin an fmf i want to kno the pros and cons of the fmf lrd f7 toomey but i really wanted the fmf cause its so cheap and i was jus want instant power if i do get the fmf wat set up should i get like sst power core all tht sh*t

go with an lrd or f7, imo u wont gain much power from a left bend pipe like the fmf, u need a right bend like an lrd or f7, i could not believe the amount of power from just adding a pipe and jetting, i have all the lowend i need and all of the topend power the bike was missing before, i can feel it pulling allthe way till it runs out of throttle.

Anybody ever done an objective comparison of all the different manufacturers? It's not enough for me to buy something based on "it pulls real hard" or "right bend is better than left bend"
Compared to what? Where is the objective data? Where is the proof?
What this board needs is a exhuast system shootout....take the same motor, same temperature, and same conditions, and dyno test all systems side by side to see which system makes power where...

Each system may or may not have it's own distinct advantages/disadvantages.

Where is the objective comparison?
Personally, I have better things to do with my money than throw it away on heresay.

right bend is better thanleft bend simply because it is a more direct airflow. think of it this way, will air flow better through a straighter pipe than a pipe with more curves. Its basic knowledge really

the dmc alien is a left bend pipe, or atleast i think it is, looked that way in the picture, and isnt that sapossed to be the same as the lrd or f7 or better?

depends what riding u do, i wouldnt reccomend the toomey if your riding on trails all the time or low rpms as it is a high rpm exhaust. i would go with the factory seven exhaust. good all around pipe. cheapest isnt always the best way to go.

toomy lets you get in powerband higher and you get to go faster cuz of that.
the f7 makes low end better because the bend is sooner and it is more direct to the silencer.

toomey is a high rev pipe, which would suck for woods. btw a pipe doesnt make you go faster, yoru gearing does

toomey is an over rated pipe, put them on banshees not blasters. F7 or lrd would make a much better pipe for anyone....unless you don't like alot of noise.

i think ppl do rep toomey to much...i have one but i dont rep it...
i think they are hella bomb pipes but im not gunna go out and post a thread bout how much i love it...

Toomey pipes are a good way to make more power...But if you want the "best" pipe out there, go for Trinity's pipe. It's the same as the LRD/F7 exhaust. (right bend), emphasizing on top end only, yet sounding so sick. Kinda like a mini banshee.
Don't believe it? go to this link and tell me what's up...

Look in the video on 14 Secs and after...
