ok i just measured my float, it seems one side of the float is perfect 21mm and the other is about 22mm, i measured and took apart carb because im having problems getting the blaster to idle. can the main jet sometimes cause idle problems if its too rich? it was slightly moist with some type of liquid in the filter intake. same with the reeds intake. there was a few grains of dirt in the airfilter intake but thats it and i just cleaned em. before i did any of this i was trying to adjust the air and idle screw and i had no luck, it wasent making a difference. im at 290 main and 250 feet asl, mods are in my siggy

there hard to level out and they def need to be lowered, the float is a bit to high, so how do i bend the tang down, the float is higher on one side cuz the bar hold the floats is slightly bent..how do i bed tang and fix bar?

Have you compleatly deleated your tors system. If not this could be causing idle problems as well. There is also a switch in the throttle.

Ow you have a twist throttle yeah its gone lol.Is it the stock carb and has there been a idle set screw added...Have you tried placing a clear hose on the over flow.TO check the float level while its still on the quad place a clear hose on there and open the screw to let fuel out and hold the hose upward along side the carb and float bowl to use as a measuring devise. The fuel should level out right about the top of the bowl. And double and triple check for air leaks around intake readcage and carb cap.

You cannot check for fuel level by placing a clear plastic hose on the overflow, because with a correctly adjusted float, no fuel will enter the overflow.:(

However the level can be checked by adapting the drain, fitting a tube, and measuring the level of fuel to the carb body, above the gasket.

i have another problem, well i adjusted my float cleaned carb and now im putting it back together and the throttle drop thing wont go all the way down in the carb?? no matter what way i have it...whats wrong and if i do try to screw it on and then move the throttle it feels all funny and wont move right

There is a groove cut out of the side of the slide which must be located over a little brass pin in the slide body, to allow the slide to drop to the bottom of the well.

There is a drain valve on factory carb its on the overflow.Open the screw and it drains out of the over flow hose. This one still has the tors and does not have the idle set screw mod.I circled the general area as I have not done it but I believe its the larger hole where the screw should be if it has it.I just did a quick pain shop on it but hard to read. The other screw circled is the air screw then the bottom on the bowl is the drain valve in which it ties into the overflow.

yes and the brass pin is the idle screw right? well i am doing that and its not going as far as normal still... could it be do to adusting the float?
There should be 2 screws. One is the air fuel mixture for pilot and the larger screw that would half to be modded should go all the way threw to the slide. The further you screw it in the further the slide opens to gain a higher idle. But yes first the float has to be set before anything else can be done.

@ blaaaster and rich...............
both of you are correct about the drain, one is calling it the overflow, but stating to open the drain screw, and the other is calling it the drain, which is where the overflow drains too

you 2 need to cut the sh*t, or i'm gonna kick you both in the gooch !!!!!! LOL

@89blaster....no not the idle screw, there is a small pin that sticks out of the bore on the kicker side, that must align with the slot in the slide, and watch that the needle is going down onto the needle valve
nothing you did with the floats is effecting the slide
