Yeah I am hoping that the cases are still good so I can rebuild that one to drop into my 01 Blaster. That way the build will go faster and I can keep it together longer in case I wanna ride. :D The engine in the 01 now is still good. So if I can rebuild the one from the 99, I'll either sell the 01 engine or keep it for parts.

Yeah i am just hoping that I am as lucky with the bottom end when I split it. The graphics on the red plastic and seat cover are a bit too "loud" for me and I dont care for the plastic feel to the side of the seatcover even though the top is a gripper material. (I have the red graphics for sale, comes with the hood, tank cover and complete seat. If anyone is interested just send me a PM with an offer.) I usually like more simple designs. The white and blue is kinda growing on me though. I still need to sand and buff the fenders. They look much better in the pics than they do in person but they are still better than the blue ones with all the stress marks.
 
Starting to get some parts together. Ordered a new set of black aluminum handlebars Friday from Universal Engineering on ebay. Great bars and cheap. Less than $20 shipped. Also got a new rear shock ordered. Went with a z400 shock with a white spring. Looked really clean in the pics. Hope it is as nice when it gets here. Just need to get some bushings now. Still looking for some new front shocks. Wondering if Raptor 350 shocks would be worth trying. They are the same length I believe and are definately cheaper than after market or Banshee shocks. Also looking for a deal on GSXR brake kit. Have found a couple, just not the right price yet.
 
New handlebars showed up today. Hopefully my new rear shock will be here tomorrow or Saturday. Had a guy come over tonight to buy some parts from my parts bike. He also needed a good working rear brake caliper. Hmmm....So I sold him the one off of my bike. What better reason to switch to hydros. Looking for a deal on a GSXR setup. Then a set of brackets from AWK. Having trouble deciding on rear tires/wheels. Right now I have 2 different sets. I have 18/9.5-8 Shredders on stock steel wheels on there now. Also have a set of 18/11.00-10 Carlisle Badlands (Holeshots) on aluminum rims. The rims need to be replaced, one has a bent lip and the other ones lug holes are no longer round. I want to use these tires but if I replace the rims should I stick with the stock hubs or go to 4-115 hubs?
 
Got some pics of the new parts that I picked up this week. Getting close to being ready to start tearing down to paint.

ITP Baja Wheels 8x8.5 4-115 pattern. Ordered 09 YFZ Hubs to bolt these on.

must be getting pretty excitted with parts coming in now!! i can't wait to get mine back together to go riding again! the one thing keeping me from rushing it is that in alberta canada it is way to cold to ride anyways in the winter so trying to take my time and do things as good as i can.

LOL. Yeah I hear ya on the winter thing. I am in Ohio and we dont get as much as you do but I work outside a lot so I dont like to spend much of my free time outside in the winter. Only have a few more parts to get before I start tearing down so I can paint and reassemble the chassis. Then its on to the engine.I:I
 
YFZ hubs and GSXR brakes came this week. Sent brake pedal to AWK to get it modded and bracket kit. ITP Baja Front wheels and Holeshots should be here Tuesday. Gonna try to start painting some bits and pieces this week. Will get some pics up then.

LOL. Just small stuff for now. Hubs, some brackets, sprocket hub, wheels, any other small parts that I have as spares. I have not started to take this one apart yet. My goal is to have all the small stuff done and ready to go back on so that when I break it down all I have to do is paint the frame and start reassembling as soon as I can. Hopefully be done by end of February or begining of March.
 
lol nice! the garage i have is not even insulated, its just a rental. i was going to do it in the basement but im not sure how safe that would be lol
 
did you split your case yet ? i just bought a project blaster and have to do the same thing. i found some you tube videos does not seem like a bad job but getting it back together without the right tools might take alittle brain work.
