First blaster ever

its cool man lol. i ended up carrying it out on my own because i tore it down to a bare frame when it left that apartment. its come a loooooong ways, but its got a way to go still. just can't wait to get on that thing and ride it again!

well i split the cases yesterday, nothing apparently wrong, i think that it may have just jammed up when i put the cases together last time. i'm hoping to be putting it together sometime in the next couple weeks and be riding again after finals

hope u get it going man Picture 026.jpg

finished up one of the shocks today, gonna finish the other one here in a little bit, and then they'll go to the dealer this week to get some nitrogen put in them. i think my gf is going back around my parent's place wednesday so hopefully she can get my crank installer and yamabond. then the next week is finals, and by the end of that i'll be ready to get riding!

well, since i have them apart i'm going to clean up the cases a little bit since they've got something on them that the parts washer and brush didnt get last time....so it'll get to meet the dremel and a wire wheel.

i'm getting some billet pieces from a member on here, got a rear brake reservoir cover, and now i'm getting a billet gas cap too!

plan is to be putting it together 2 weeks from now...maybe even being back on and riding. i can't wait to ride it with the new tires, axle, spacers, and swinger

looks like i'll be getting the motor back together this afternoon after running out to yamaha to get a base gasket and stator side crank seal. before i assemble it i will be doing the DIY +4 timing mod. next weekend i should have this thing back in the chassis and be hitting some trails and stuff to get a real feel for how the chassis is gonna work

yeah.....this guy is usually really good, first time he's let me down and i've probably ordered from him a dozen times

wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

started a new job so the money for blaster parts will be coming in, but i'm working a lot of weekends so no time to ride since i have to drive an hour each way (at least) to be able to ride. pretty big bummer. but i'll be trying to get the motor put together this weekend and then figure out when i'm going to be able to marry it back to the chassis. then figure out where to ride this thing so i can actually enjoy it!

next on the list is a set of a arms, get the front hydro's on, then just little things here and there, this winter i'm going to be pulling it all the way back down to the frame to gusset and repaint. not too happy with how it came out

Looking good man... First time i checked out your build... How did the case splitting go? I did a warrior and it was a PITA... Is that a A/M axle or you polish the stock one? Looks good.

harescrambles are badass wen i raced my blaster in one i never went out of 3rd gear cause it was so muddy. but i blew my oil seals. be careful if u race harescrambles though cause two people that were racing gncc all ready got killed i raced with one of them in youth a couple times. RIP ryan earley 763

Glad to hear things are coming along bro, getting closer!!!
Hope you are back together soon, post some pics of the works rebuild when ya can, looking forward to checking it out.

btw, so long as you keep everything clean and pay attention to small stuff, doing the shocks isn't a big deal.

hopefully i'll be putting the motor together tonight

well, after a little bit of a blasterforum intervention, i got the case halves back together, and the trans seems to work smoother than it ever did last time. things are looking up.

now i gotta go get some new seals that i messed up and a couple c clips that i wasn't so nice to while tearing it apart
