Exhaust or Port Job

In blasterforum's opinion, would I be better off getting a port job from one of the pro's on here or a new pipe with my mods? I need to stay away from the race gas, so I'll have to have the head cut too. I'm looking at a dynoport high volume exhaust. If you suggest porting, what style do you suggest and what builder do you suggest? If you suggest the pipe, why do you suggest it, or do you think there would be a better pipe for my setup?

Mods are:
Vito's full 240 kit (not a sleeve in stock cylinder)
+4 crank
Vforce3 Reeds.
PJ34 Carb
FMF Fatty with PowerCore2 silencer
Vito's Timing Plate
75 watt stator

I do quite a bit of hill climbing.
Forgot to mention I'm doing one or the other. I can not afford both.

well you already got a pipe i say get the port job save up some money then sell the fmf and buy yourself a better one off someone on here

with your mods already i would say get a better pipe that fmf is already holding you back, not to menchion how much it would if you got that beast ported.

yeah ditch the fmf, but that dyna port. thats a start. hill climbing, probly gonna want a good low-mid engine...not really a top end engine...the best idea is to do both...but you cant afford it. change pipes, save for porting.

kennedy powersports gets great hp out of 240 strokers....

When you say the best idea is to do both, how would you build an engine for low-mid and mid-top? I didn't know it was a possibility. I thought you had to set up for one or the other.

From my own testing, I would suggest a port design/cylinder head design that would work for your riding condition. The blaster engine builds that I have worked on are 40 to 50 horsepower if you follow my suggestions on the hardware. The problem with that much power is, you can not hold the front of the bike down. I am working on new swing arms for these bikes. Mat Shearer is working on and is testing pipes for BB cylinders, he has made much progress and new BB pipes should be done by December.

This is getting to be a damn expensive hobby for a 20 year old college kid! Haha. How does yb200 extend a stock swinger? There's no way I can afford to buy one of those ones from Ebay. Like I said before, I'm on a budget. Maybe I'll wait for the Shearer 240 pipes. He seems to be the man for pipe research.

Thanks for the advice guys. I just bought a brand new DynoPort big volume for $310 shipped. I guess that's a decent deal considering ProjectBlaster wants 340 plus shipping.
