My 1995 blaster seized up on me a little while ago, and me and my buds tried to unseize it. We put Marvel Mistery oil in the crank case and on the crankshaft. Put it in the highest gear and pushed it backwards and it unseized, but about and hour later after putting the gas tank fenders and all back on and using 110 octane fuel mixed at about 35:1 it would not start and begin to seize back up! Can anyone help me??

oh and it begin to make a very loud high pitched squeaking noise when trying to crank!!

either the rings have seized to the cylinder wall, and you broke them loose, or the rod bearing is shot. or even both.

before it seizes up completely again yank the head and cylinder so you can see what's going on with it.

if you are lucky it's just a bad piston and rings.

if not then it's the rod bearing.

in that case it would be cheaper to buy a good used crank and rod from ebay than it would be to put a new rod bearing in.

when the rod bearing is changed they have to press the crank counterbalance off install the new rod bearing and then press it back on and time it.

they normally charge around 250.00 for the bearing and the press work.

if it's just the piston and rings, go ahead and bore it out .40 over for a little extra horsepower, and grab a good wiseco piston kit.

hopefully you didnt scratch up your cylinder, that can cost some money

ouch

I agree, take the cyl/head off. Take a peak and see what it looks like. Most of the time it's there you will see the issue. Bummer is you may have internal issue, too. The squealing I think is rings scratching the helloutta the cyl. wall. I'd say do not start it again untiul you check, it will not get better by running it, just worse.

why the hell are you running race gas?????? do you have a 240 kit or other mods? if it is stock don't run that gas.don't keep on riding it if its seizing

why not, just because he doesnt have most mods youd usualy run it with doesnt mean he still cant. If anything good for him. hes running a better has then he even needs to.

running a higher octane fuel in any air cooled motor helps with the constant pinging they have. but you shouldn't of tried you started it you should of just torn the motor down as soon as it seized the first time...

I use 110 octane leaded race gas and both my Blasters run great. It was recommended by engine builders to help with pinging and to help cool the engine. I did not have to re-jet and I run 32:1 with Klotz Supertechniplate. They said that it would be better for my Blasters- even stock- but more expensive. If you do not use an oxygenated race fuel you will should not need to re-jet. I chose to use the 110ll is because the Blaster gets good mileage and being air cooled I wanted a more consistent high octane fuel. Premixing fuel lowers the octane rating of fuel and with today's ethanol and its propensity to pull more water into the fuel it makes sense to run race fuel if you can afford it.
