Ebay full engine rebuild service??

If you cant afford to mess up the bottom end then it will need to be split to make sure there is no left over carnage in it from the piston and whatever else might be in there from having the motor open. i am all about saving a bux but from the sound of it you need to go in deep. i tried to clean out a bottom end in a parts washer and i will tell you that it cant be done right doing it this way. i still felt there was stuff in it and after splitting the case where was pieces of aluminum in the crank end bearings that i would never have gotten out by trying to half ass clean it. its really not that hard. just take your time CLEAN your bench, down load the manual from this sight, lay out a nice piece of cardboard and mark your parts. i am one for using a sharpie marker and marking parts and the cardboard. its helps if you get pulled away from the job and come back to it days later.

if you don't feel 100% confident in doing it then you should send it off. any of the builders on the site can do a full build for you.

Wildcard, Flotek, Oconnor, StrokedTater244 also does a little bit. your best bet is to contact them and get prices and timeframes. it can be cheaper to have a pro do it the first time than to have to do it a couple times because you didn't know what you were doing.

on the other hand if you're pretty mechanically inclined these motors aren't terribly complicated, attention to detail is the most important part of it

Most builders will charge 3 hours to R&R a motor including replacing all the seals and crank bearings. So typically thats gonna run you $180-210, plus parts.

Unless your just down on compression, youve probably taken out a piston hard and scattered metal throughout, you should always do a complete tear down. Clutch fibers are cheap as well when it's all tore apart and everything is being washed/inspected.

there are pullers and case splitters i see some dont use splitters but you will need a flywheel puller for sure.i got mine on ebay for 12$ shipped. hard to say what your gonna need without inspecting it. but for sure you will need a seal kit and gasket set
Any special tools that will make the job easier? And what all do I specifically replace in bottom end?

I did have a ebay seller who advertises boring and honing of your cylinder and a piston kit , It was reasonable , I think I got everything for 140 bucks , including free shipping back to me . I ended up buying a new upper rod bearing also so 155.00 total.
They were out of florida , Summit Powersports . It came with a wiseco piston , namura gaskets . Was super happy with it . The deals are out there , just do some research before deciding . They would even do a full motor build , they just don't get into strokers or porting . Stick with Mr. Oconnor on that ....

Blaster bottom ends are easy to rebuild. I never did one before And I rebuilt mine and trust me its not that big of a deal. As long as you are some what mechanically inclined you can do this. Get all your parts first and a GOOD manual and you are good to go. And when you go to install the new crank bearings put them in the freezer for a good hr before hand so they are nice and cold and heat up the cases. The bearings will drop right in I:I. Read up on it first thats what I did.

I just found one for 325, just had the top end done by summit powersports I believe the guy said....might be able to get him down to less cuz he's had in CL for over 2 weeks now. He says less Than an hr run time and has receipts for top end work..Wht y'all think?

Probably not going to be able to disassemble it before you buy it... so carry a compression tester. You should be able to hold it down and get at least 125 PSI out of it. It should turn over clean and easy, no scraping noises. You can see up the exhaust port and down through the intake , there shouldn't be any scratches on the piston.

As long as those things are OK, I would say $325 is fair for someone who doesn't want to tackle a rebuild on their own.

Thanks for the advice sicivicdude...although not that I don't want to, it's just that I'm not 100% confident in doing it/willing to risk messing up a bottom end. Thanks again, I'm hoping I can get it sometime this week.
