we own 3 acres. when i rip down thru the yard, slide around the bottom in 3rd, and come ripping back up, it starts losing power fast about half way back up. is it possible i am draining the bowl?

i'm hoping to get the 35mm carb on soon, so hopefully that will fix the problem.

You're probably right about draining the bowl. There is only so much adjustment for the floats before you run into issues with flooding the crankcase or spilling fuel out of the overflows. A 360 main is very large for a stock 26mm carb to feed.

defanitly thats like a damn snowmobile jet haha thats runing good with a 360? cause i have the same mods as you with a 270...

its possible but it could also be jetting or restriction i nthe petcock lines or fuel filter not allowing it flow its best ,keep in mind a 33 34 35 and 39 pwk all have same style and size carb bowl

yeah dude, have you done a chop at full throttle?
i have the exact same mods as you and i'm running a 310.
plus i think i'm much lower in altitude than you.....around 200'. that means you should prob be running a smaller jet than me.....

im running a 350 in the winter around 10-20 degrees and its a little rich cuz on my 03 blaster i had like a 270 i think and i had a fmf only and it blew.. then shortly after that i got my 2000 motor together and i have a 350 in it now.

yeah the jetting thing is weird. when i first started modding the blaster it seemed like i was always running a bigger main than others with similar mods. but if i do a plug chop (just running wide open one direction down the yard so i shut it off before it begins to loose power) the plug is a nice brown..... i'd like to try a smaller main but i really dont want to blow this thing up....

maybe i'll try shutting it off when it starts running out of power like that and check the plug.

ruthless one, your running a 34mm carb, i'm running the stocker still, so different intake velocities and whatnot will explain the difference in jetting. while it doesn't make sence to me that a bigger carb with less velocity will need a smaller jet, that seems to be the way it works :-\

part of me is curious and wants to figure out what is going on, part of me just says screw it, put the 35mm on and go from there. lol.

efficeint pipe and port will draw more fuel out of that smaller jet ,theres even alot of people who find they need to jet down after certain types of setups and porting.
