Drag Blasters @ Busco Beach Sept. 23-25

yeah i should have lol, i have been informed by a certain someone that i need a new reed system and a new carb lol
Well everyone, James and I had a great time and were happy to meet some more of you and your families. It was a good turn out this year despite the bad weather forecast X( and a big thanks to Dan and Trish for making the Drags happen a lot of hard work was put into making the track race able after the rain on Friday they are awesome people and am glad we got to talk to them and hangout for awhile.
Congratulations to James for setting the new Blaster track record with a 4.813 I:I and as well as taking an undefeated 1st place, He did an awesome job seeing as how he had very little seat time and has never ran a pro tree, he got into the swing of things very quickly.
The best time I ran was a 5.405, As Con8quest6 mentioned I did have a spark issue as well as a gearing issue on Fridays Test and Tune which got fixed the best I could for the time being, (BIG thanks to sicivicdude for help with both issues ) and Trish for letting me run a few passes after they shut down to see if I corrected the issue. The track was a little overwhelming for me as I had only a few passes on the street; it was the first time on a track with the blaster, and the first time running a pro tree. I’m very happy with my results and can’t wait to improve for next year!
Thank you to everyone who got the awesome pictures and videos! We should have some of ours up shortly.

great vids matt, i didnt get a chance to see any of the sat races..we were packing up and heading out then...congrats to everyone, they are some totally awesome machines out there on that strip...and it was cool as hell to play race with all u guys on the trail blastys..even though i dont think i won once..or even came in second or third lol..but it was fun..thanx for the awseome roosts from noobs and conquest to the chest lol..those tires do throw some dirt lol

well put and i will get my slips up asap. they are just not here right now. in some of the vids i have up you can hear her calling out the times at the end.
thanks craig! my girl took them so i guess we should thank her. i wanted to get out riding with you guys but never got to it, sucks! she will have hers together next year and we will put in some trail time! i did get out play racing with scott in the one bowl around a pond and got on the mx track a bit.. had a blast! burned about 4 gallons of gas so i did get some ride time in there this year. I:I

@yamaha~girl: No problem as freek said... that's why I'm yellow. It was really lucky hotwheels banshee (Randy I think was his name) had a chain breaker and was nice enough to ride back to camp to go get it during TNT.
@ tater: That's what you get for staying down there in "dragger lane" with all the E2S guys if you'd stayed over in the cut with freek you'd been out buried in mud the whole time... GOOD TIMES!

just didnt want to leave the girl behind for long periods of time. she didnt know anyone there really well or it would have been different. really good time though. yeah hotwheels name is randy..great guy..i borrowed some toold from him myself. I:I

big thanks to everyone for the props, Jess and i came out this year and gave it all we had on the track. i know there is more we can squeez out of her little stock jug motor with some much needed test and tune at the local track. all in all we had an amazing time at Busco this year, glad we got to meet a bunch of new faces and hang/ride with those from last year. the unending trails were awesome and the drag strip was well groomed as Trish and Dan do a great job for all the racers that come out. the weather was not ideal but everyone made the best of it and it all worked out great in the end, (much better than 115*
) i have some pics and alot of drag vids to post when i get them uploaded, we already cant wait for next years event!!last, i want to thank Denny at Flotek Performance for making my blaster motor what it is today, i could not have done it with out you man.
no i think if you redlight it shows the time from when you were supposed to leave the line. i know it was my ticket, it was me and mike that ran and i redlighted on him pretty good
yeah i noticed that and removed that post.. looks like you left about .500 .600 early...thats one hell of a redlight! lol
