Drag Blasters @ Busco Beach Sept. 23-25

had a great time seeing these fast blasters run. makes me want to build a dragger out of a blaster now.

i will get you talked into it sooner than later...lol

keep the vids coming guys! great stuff!!!

congrats james...you already know this! I:I

we do have some vids here, just got home. we will get them up asap.

LMAO! pretty close....

My problem was heat and a SERIOUS lack of swingarm. I mean, I'm running 93 octane and I couldn't keep it down in third gear without letting off the throttle and it was pulling the front tires off the ground in 4th! LOL, makes for a great trail ride though!

at least we were able to get it back together so quickly.... a quick bit of "noobs" and "dude" magic had you back out there before anyone else knew it.

Honestly, at first I feared the worst and then when you said "it's got no thumb but idled all the way to the end of the track" I knew it couldn't be TOO bad. Might be time to look into a replacement PJ cable adapter though. The way that 6mm hex is wore out is bad bad mojo. Also, get a stock thumb throttle assembly and I'll take really good pics of mine to show you how to get a 36+mm carb to open on a stock thumb throttle without having to cut out the side of the thumb throttle.

lol thanks again dude I:I. in the time it took us to fix it i think only 3 runs got made :D.

lol i remember walking up to the printer and i saw a slip with a decent 60' but the 300ft time was in the 20s i was like wtf is wrong with the timing system? lol..yeah..BUSTED haha

hahaha yeah it felt like i got off the line decent that time, at least i finished my race lol :D

Looks like it was fun despite the weather! Congrads to the winners! I will check the vids out when I get home stupid work says no u-tube!

my hats off to those fast blasty's for sure. James, Matt, and Ian were the top three spots, but all were running strong to be little motors.

i would also like to add that Ian showed up with a virtually untested bike (on a true racing surface) with a ton of weight on his shoulders due to others getting the hype up before he even left the house. he has put alot of time and effort into his machine and has been very humble about the whole thing. never once did he have the attitude that he was there to own the drag strip and i think he knew that he had his work cut out for him. there is a ton of potential in his bike after the new build bugs are worked out and stands to be a strong contender wherever he runs it at.
Matts bike, as we all know is a fast machine and he has done his homework and knows his bike and has many hours of seat time on it....and it shows. he is a true racer. also he showed up with a layed back attitude with the intentions of racing and having good time. he was camped right beside me and not once did he talk smack about anything refering to the race that everyone had put all the hype into.
James's bike...well, it's very, very rare that someone gets it almost perfect the first time, but that one was on point right out of the box really. good job on makin that work out. also, congrats for setting a new track record.
not to leave anyone out, but all you blaster dragger showed a great level of dedication to your bikes and the sport of sand draggin. great job to all of you.

Had a great time this year.I can't seem to get my ass of of the couch today.lol I still have lots of work to do in order to get rid of the busco "stucco mud" that is on everything that came with me.Here is a short vid for now.I will upload more sometime soon once I catch up on some sleep.

i heard Ian's scrapping the airshifter, < which is the only practice he has run with,
due to 3-4 shift issues, which apparently happened every run so far, i'd say he hasnt run his best times yet either if he can get his reaction times down

just to clear this up the RT (reaction times) have nothing to do with the et (elapsed time). you can sit at the light after it turns green for an hour and still run a 3.500 et. the et is based on when the quad trips the lights at the start and then at the end. maybe we should post our slips and people that dont know what they are talking about would be able to understand better.
