well i wanna sand down the side of my case, like the circle that says yamaha, and you just sand it down with like 1500 wet sandpaper right until its smooth and all the paint is gone, then you polish the crap out of it right. but ive heard not to clear coat it but if you didint clear coat it wouldint it rust and stuff, so who clearcoats it and who doesent when they polish stuff?? oh yeah also some plastic pieces on my engine cases are really light colored and scratched up, how do i get it back to the dark black color it should be? just sand it??

Just use a scotch brite pad to scuff the old paint, clean then paint. I don't use clear coat on polished parts. The polished part will dull over time but all you have to do is hot it with some polish to shine it back up.

ok cool thanks, i have to do it all by hand though lol this is gonna suck

I don't get what you're saying you want to do. Do you want the side cover polished with the circle and Yamaha to be a color or do you want the circle and Yamaha to be polished and the rest of the side cover the be a color?

I don't clear coat any of my polished parts. As stated before just hit it with some polish every once in awhile and it'll keep shining

i mean i just want the yamaha to stay black and the only thing i want to polish is the circle around the yamaha
