I've been bored lately and was wondering what can I upgrade on my Blaster for free or for under $20? So far the upgrades I have are, FMF Fatty pipe and Powercore 2 silencer, Boyesen power reeds, No parking brake, Kenda klaw 20x11x8 rear tires, Oil injection delete, and the air box lid has six 1/2" holes and the snorkel was removed. Thanks for the help. I:I

A little scrounging and you could find the sheet metal to make air scoops to help cool your motor . A set of Wally lights is about twenty bucks .
Flipping your front wheels is free , unless you have front disc brakes then you need shorty valve stems otherwise the stems will hit the calipers.
Stud type rear wheel spacers are like 20 a set . Free stickers can add 40 to 60 extra HP !!!!

a smaller front sprocket would probably help on a blaster. Mine the previous owner set up a 14 tooth front with 22 inch rear tires so i gotta do something about that.

it will give more acceleration but less top end, pick ur poison lol. i run a 15 tooth front with a 40 rear and 20" tires and its happy :)

Yeah. I re-jetted for the pipe and airbox. I forget what I have in it tho. I forgot to add that I have a UNI air filter in it. My Blaster is the 06 special edition btw. I do fast trail riding. What are the pros and cons of the timeing mod?

+4 Timing will give more get up and go in the low/mid range, but will loose a little on the top of the range.

Any advance in timing will put a little extra strain on the motor, +4 seems a good choice.

If you consider changing sprockets, replace the whole set and chain, it will save you money in the end.

+4 should suit the Fatty as I am led to believe it is a low/mid pipe.

My pipe is similar (DMC), and the motor runs well and hard at +4, dont go any more.

+4 should be ok for a BBK.
