well i can load the bike on a hill by myself but if its straight its hard, i need another person because my truck is lifted a bit. So what are you guys techinques in making a good sturdy ramp, i have 2 planques i got from work ( i was a roofer) so there thick and long, just need some advice to connect it to the tailget so it doesn't move if i try to ride it up, thanks guys.. any suggestions are welcome.

easy way...get 2 pieces of wood from lowes, get the metal pieces to put on the end of the wood(also at lowes)stick on bed of truck and drive quad in bed of truck...problems solved...or do it like i do and just throw it in the back....

Yup, this is what I did. I got two pieces of 2x10x8 boards from Lowe's (which cost me $10 for both pieces of wood) and then bought the DIY ramp kit which runs about $25. I think they also have them at Walmart, Kmart, etc.

everytime i see those ramp kits i wished they had a hole in them and drill a matching hole in the tailgate so a pin could be dropped in and prevent any movement or slipping off the tailgate

for holding them put a hook so u can put a rachtet strap hook threw them and tighten it to the reese hitich or what ever u can hicht it to

This is a good idea. I know the more expensive ramps have this as a safety feature to prevent the ramps from moving when loading/unloading.

where would it be at wally world, we don't have kmart or lowes so would it be in the gardning section?? i seen some ramps like that with the metal that was prebent. i wonder if home depot has them?

home depot should have 'em, go to there website and search for "ramp kit" or sumthin similar

I got bored, so i detailed it. Haha. But in figure 1 the green line is a ratcheting tie down from a hook on the ramp to the bumper. In figure 2, the green circles are where the hooks would go, but the hooks would go on the underside of the ramp, not where you ride.

Sorry its so small.

I just sit the front tires on the tailgate , then sling the back up in there.
87' ex cab s10 3 inch body, 3inch suspension , and 32" tires.....What's a "ramp" ?
Oh the thing you run over and in makes you fly ? LOL

just remember that the ramps need some thing to hold on at the tail gate of the truck other wise you must be very carefull on the throttle when going up. if you catsh my drift.
