Diamond J widening kit with shock conversion

they suck, dont be a broke dick, get some good a-arms and shocks. you will be happier. and when you going to come riding?
also go UC basketball 7-0 baby.

i know that tech blaster likes his, the geometry of the suspension is altered. Anyway, the may be worth it if they were cheaper than wheel spacers. In my opinion they are CNC'd srap metal that they paint and sell for way to much

^^^^ that is true, for the price of $150 or whatever they charge you should just get wheel spacers. but you can find used a-arms for that price if you look.

Here's a couple of pics of my Blaster, I don't know if this is an actual Diamond J, but it is the same thing in principle, it was on my Blaster when I got it, and I've never had any problems with it. I mainly ride trails/dunes/hills with it (pretty hard sometimes) and it seems to work very well.
As stated before, you can find bigger A arms for around the same price, which is probably what I would do if I planned on racing/jumping it.
So, I am neither reccomending it, nor telling you to avoid it.
Figure out your needs/ budget and go from there. :)

Yeah. Just trying to keep my build cost down and keep my wife happy. Want to update the suspension but havent found too many good deals for the front. Not sure if I want to gamble on finding Banshee shocks. Hate to buy them and find out they are worn out since they cant be rebuilt. Was going to go for YFZ shocks but a-arms just are not in the budget anytime soon. Maybe spacers and used Works shocks. I could ride it now but it needs some "maintenance" items so I figured I might as well budget build it while I am at it. Hope to have it ready by spring. I am a sissy. I dont like the cold weather. Hopefully the basketball season will go better than football did this year. New coach growing pains I hope.

Thanks for the info and pics. I definately want to be able to ride where ever (track, trail, dunes, etc) so if jumping is not recommended I will probably pass on the kit and keep watching for better deal on arms.

Thanks for the links sheeblast. Those Quadzilla shock look like they could be a good deal if they perform well. Never heard of them before myself but I am fairly new to the quad world. Anyone else ever heard of them or used them?

i have some progressive shocks still after ebay and craigslist and balsterforum ads, i havn;t sold them and don't expect to, they are in great condition, have pics in my album, 170 right now and they'r urs

I think the DJ kit for just trail or dune riding and even some jumping is fine , The Only part I don't like is the tie rod extensions , its not safe if you ask me , tie rods should be 1 piece . Bottom line is running stock a arms you will have to find new or like new arms when your joints wear out . for short term its ok , long term , get the aftermarket a arms . Thats what I did , have them on my Blaster and Banshee .

i used the kit for over a year and even jumped hard with it and never had a problem, but as blastard said the tierod extensions are a bad idea..but of course keep an eye out for aftermarket aarms if ya have the coin to do so

If I had the extra $ I would be very interested. Unfortunately the parts from my other quad aren't selling as fast as I would like. I will keep you in mind though if the $ comes in.

I'm thinking that I will just hold out for the right stuff. I would hate to spend the money and then have to spend more to do it right later.
