My dad picked my cylinder up on Wednesday and I just saw it today (Friday) and there is a little bit of rust in the cylinder, what do I do?

you need to have it honed to take the rust out

It is important to thoroughly wash it anyway, just oil it immediaitely when you are done.

Only for serious rust, I think he is talking about light surface rust,

If the rust is light, a slight hone will do. It the rust pitted the cylinder walls, you'll need to get it bored. Make sure you clean and measure everything.
