Cr250 motor swap to Blaster

^^^ yes the newer hood is possible. go here Project Blaster - Online Store and scroll down until you find Project Blaster 03-04 hood mounting bracket... it is a bolt on bracket that comes up into place to bolt on the newer style hood, and if you put some effort into it you can use the newer style headlight in that hood or just put wire mesh behind it. you can also look around more on the Project Blaster store, they have tons of cool stuff for blasters

good stuff! thanks

Got everything primed and still trying to find the right color red for the swinger and swinger guard. Anyone know where to get it? Probably autozone or someplace.

I am thinking looking like this, but no white accents and a brighter red color.

What do you guys think? I was undecided wither lime green or bright red, the clutch handle is making me lean towards red. :p

Red always looks good, just don't go with too bright of a red.

yea, I am looking for it to "pop" but not to much.

I just talked to my brother because its his birthday, he was indifferent about his motorcycle being torn apart. He said I should have just finished the bike and used it to ride because I used to have a yz125 and loved it. He said it would be much faster and all that good stuff. When he was home he tried to transform a blaster but sank to much money into it to quickly because he was so excited about it and ended up running out of money and motivation half way through. He also mentioned that I might be growing out of a blaster soon anyways (5'10 130lb). All good things to think about, but I started my first year of college this year and I only have a couple years before I go away to college. So this is the only time to do this for a long time! I say lets do it! I:I

There is WAYYYY bigger guys than you that ride blasters bro your golden, and a dirt bike and atv are 2 different worlds while riding imo it just depends on what you like. With the rate your goin you should finish quick. Also i also try to buy what is needed first. And pre plan to save a lil money back just in case. Then when your certain you done need it then you can blow it on good looking stuff or go fast goodies.

good thought! I agree with you 100% about the money. I am getting the quad put together and looking nice with spay cans, then after it all works I can choose to go nuts or not. lol

pics up sometime tonight. Can I get this thread moved to engine swap or rebuild section? Just realized its in the wrong section.

alright sounds good, thanks.

no pics tonight guys, sorry! I got the frame stripped down to nothing. Tried removing the a-arms and tierods from the front hubs. It didn't go very well. Long story short, using every precaution I know to keep the threads intact, they are now bent, smushed, and messed up. They poped out eventually, but it took a long time with a mini sledge hammer because they were so rusty. I now need new bottom a-arms and tierods. yippee, wonderful start! X(

mine were a biotch to but i didnt tear up the threads. There not really expensive shipping would probably cost more than the bottom a arms lol.

glad to know I am not the only one with a arm problems. just stupid enough to destroy them! haha I feel slightly better now

I have seen tons of threads about them being a biotch to get off. when do you think the pics will be up?
