as far as I know yes it does need a spacer to fit. There is a guy that will do the mods to your intake so the cr125 cage will fit for around 120 dollars as long as you supply thr reed cage

my cr 125 intake cost me less than my vf3's thats including buying pro reeds for like 80 bucks...and honestly i was dissapointed with the vf3s, all i got was a slight throttle responce improvement..half the ppl that seem to think they are "the best" probably havent used them, or tried different setups. get what will work best with your setup. If you are running a small bore cylinder, they will suit you better..but ive only used both so who knows.
