cool head

I think I'm still gonna try out the water cooled head , but I need a spare motor to build a 265cc , then do some trick stuff with copper tubing to wrap around the jug to increase the cooling , It'll be fun , and I can't ever leave anything alone so it will elp with my whole idle hands problem , the other hobby just made my eyes worse

Imo its a gimmick. If heat was an issue with these motors I doubt yamaha would have kept them the same for almost 20 yrs

thats true in a way but then again yamaha do make some sh*tty stock stuff like the piston and the pastics gear for the injection system.who makes a plastic gear.thats just so it can break and they want u to bring it to them so they can rape you

with liquid cooling you delete some of the heat issue with a air cooled engine. the head is the hottest part considering the cumbustion happens when the spark plug ignites the fuel mixture after it compresses it.....also things under pressure tend to move from high to low pressure. same goes with heat....heat tends to move fomr high to low heat. so if you cool the head, heat form the cylinder will move towards the head keeping both at the same temp....its a wicking effect.

also you can change domes for more compression also. yes its ugly, but so what....i would run it if i had a blaster.....
