Well boys i wish i had done this before bought my 240 kit.
I Posted an add on Kijiji looking for DT200 Parts or a whole bike. By the end of the day i recieved various emails one guy says he has a whole bike thats running just leaks a bit of coolant at the water pump.
I talked to the guy some more he said 400 bux and its mine. So Here she is boys im damn excited , i will be able to totally swap the motor in my blaster!

i also have an extra dt 200 head and cylinder
if anyones interested?

nice score. i think i would rather run air cooled though. if you get out on trails and your water pump start leaking way out in the middle of nowhere then youre screwed. but i am jealous anyways.

Check your PM's I have the parts to fix the waterpump leak. EASY fix, I had the same problem. Just have the waterpump gasket sealing surface machined down if it's out of spec. If not I'll take some step by step pics and walk you thru the replacement.
Call Yamaha of British Columbia for the waterpump seal. If you post a pic of the leakage I can tell you if it's just excess coolant, or an airbubble forcing coolant out the "weep hole" in the waterpump housing.

O yea, get some spacers made for the swing-arm area, and the front engine mounts. The DT engine is slightly narrower, cases are for it to fit in the Blasty. Or just swap this one bearing and use your blaster cases. Then put the 240 in the DT and have a bike/quad!

Yes Bike has all paper work, the guy i bought it from Owned it since new!

haah yea i was thinking about puttin the blaster motor in the bike but i really have no use for it. Im sure someone would buy my ported 240 motor

Well then you are back to square one and running an air cooled engine again. I:I

It's not a big deal as long as it's sealed up. Even then you can limp then back for a quick fix.

No no, an empty coolant jacket acts as an insulator. The engine would overheat even if the coolant system was just running low, not even empty as the coolant wouldn't spend enough time in the radiator to cool down properly.
