yep, but i still say that pin is supposed to go in a hole in the swinger, not lay on top like everyone does ????
that puts it at a different angle than the swinger ???
 
that does make sense, but i've never seen a swinger with a hole in the side for that. may be worth looking in to!


on a similar subject, my swinger has a place to mount something to hold the rear brake line, i just haven't made use of it yet

i couldn't bring myself to drill and tap a hole for a brake line clamp, maybe i'll weld a nut onto it, as the powder coating is chipping off the top anyway and needs redone, professionally this time
 
Thanks for quick feed back. I am in the process of replacing the swing arm bushings, etc. and forgot to pick up this roller. I like it, but drilling a hole in the swing arm could create a weak point or do you think its insignificant ? Any idea what size that pin is ? I agree that changing the angle of the roller and chain creates stress and friction thus reducing power to rear wheels. Ordering it now.
 
i would install it, and see if it looks like the chain is going to ride on it all the time or not
 
the hole in the swinger is just my obsevation, i know quite a few guys on here are running that guide without the hole, you'll be fine just letting it rest on top of the swinger, especially a stock stamped steel one
 
just so happens i bought the same one (1st listed) for my blaster and have yet to install so i got the dimensions of the pin, it comes with a silicone sleeve around the pin to protect your swinger and to prevent chatter. the pin itself measures 9/32 od, with the silicone 7/16 od. i definitely see what awk08 is talking about with the weird angle when its installed with the pin resting on top of the swinger but maybe they do that for travel? so it floats with the chain rather than the swinger can move the chain as it moves? im not sure, maybe someone who has this style could chime in for us... hope the measurements help you man....

Once I receive it and install it I will give a update. Thanks to everyone. This site is a blessing. I don't post allot but its nice to know it's here when I need it. I find other posts with similair questions I might have and get my answers. Now if I could find how to get off more days to ride.....
