Carb Question here.. Overheating..

Hi,

I have a blaster from 04, with a very ported cylinder, slightly shaved head, running 66.5 mm piston (yamahas last oversize), with vforce reeds, paul turner front pipe, fat boy silencer, and stock ignition timing, no air filter box cover, and no oil pump running with 3.5% of Motul 800.

The carb is stock, except for the FMF needle I got from a jet kit which im running in position 4 (almost all the way rich) and a 410 main jet.

QUESTION:

This is my first blaster, and Im worried about it overheating... It gets pretty toasty.. And Im trying to stretch out the powerband a bit. It has a pretty hard hit that starts at the middle of midrange but signs off quickly once I get up to high RPM's.

Im thinking of using the carb from a KDX 200, A WR200 or a YZ85.. which do you reccommend? and what r ur thoughts on overheating?

I know its not much over, but im not sure its getting enough mixture to run well at the high rpm's its been ported to run at.. Thats why i was thinking of the YZ85 which is either a 28mm or 30mm depending on the year.. Or should i play with ignition timing first?
