Sorry if this has been asked before but here it goes.

Im in the stage of rebuilding my whole blaster ground up that I bought of some guy, I want to run no air box lid but need jetting help. The engine is pretty much stock other than a 67mm piston, oil block off, TORS removal kit which I ordered today.

I dont know which size carb I have but it still has the TORS box on top of it. I know its ethier a 26 or 28. Does the 28 come with the box on the top? If not then I have a 26.

The jetts that are in my carb now are as followed:(dont know the jet names)

The big jet (that the float needle sits in) says 28.

The med sized one(goes in the very middle, has a brass washer on it) says 22 on it.

And the small one(very small) says 325 on it.

Now to be able to run with no airbox lid( outerwear cover were the lid was) which sizes do I need to go up to?

Thanks, Nate

those are some very odd numbers, if you still have a stock carb which it sounds like you do the stock main is 230, the others shouldnt matter yet jsut try to get your main dialed in first. i belive most guys that run no lid with a a/m exhaust and air filter are up in the 280- 290 range. with what i got listed i run a 250 but my lid is on. always better to be too rich and move down then too lean and kill it.

Ok here is the pieces I took out of my carb

from left to right the numbers are

325 or 32.5 , Cant find a number , 28 or 2.8 , 22 or 220

well the first and last thing are the only jets on the table..
the last one is the main jet and if it is 220 then it is the stock size..(if your blaster is an older one like 89 and older)
the first one looks like a pilot but its kinda of hard to see in the pic but if it is 32.5 then that is the stock size too...
now the other jet you are missing is the needle jet which is in the slide but its prolly fine.
the second thing on the table is a air/fuel screw for adjusting the pilot jet.
and the third thing is the seat for your float needle which just regulates the flow of gas...

if all your running is no lid and no other mods then a 240 main should be fine that what i ran in my blaster and the jetting was dead on all i had for mods was a K&N.

hmm if i was you i would take another peek at your spark plug that sounds too lean to me, if i remember correctly the FMF web site recommended at least a 270 main, hows your air filter.

Ok thanks for the explainations. The blaster came with a fmf head pipe but i dont have a silencer which i will get, but with a fmf head, and no air box lid with a K&n filter and a outwear cover(where the lid was) I should just change the 220 to 240?

well since you have the headpipe and plan on running no lid, i would suggest getting all the jets between 270-300...
i suggested 240 main because my blaster has a stock exhaust..

just go to a motorcycle shop and just get some jets thats wat i did. i wasnt happy with the dyno jet kit. they gave me like 6 jets and a new needle but the jets were scattered numbers. i was disappointed with the kit. i like the needle they sent me. it has 6 slots instead of the stock 5.
