Carb adjustments

heyy , I just put a fmf gold series pipe and powercore 2 silencer , Boyesen pro series carbon fiber reeds and I had a uni air filter on my 2006 blaster. I would like to know what I would have to do to the carb to get it running like its suposed to be.

is your airbox lid off?start with like a 300 main jet work from there look at some members sigs see what theyre running

No my airbox lid is still on.

If you dont ride where its dusty then take the airbox lid off. A 300 main jet is a good basis to start from.

My stock one was a 230 and I put a 260 in. but I want to keep my airbox lid on cuz i ride in dusty roads lost of times.

id check your plug see what color it is. i check mine pretty much after evry ride now so i know whats goin on with the motor.

dont jet up if u are leaving the airbox lid on, u will be running rich, mabe drill some holes in the lid and do a plug chop to see hows it looks and go from there

well when I bought my reeds I asked the guy what jet I needed for my fmf pipe and reeds and he asked the mechanic and gave me a 260.

thats about right where u should be on the main with that pipe, but u have to allow more air into the motor to compensate for the larger main jet

Well I turn the airscrew out to the specified turns on the reed instructions

I'm Going to do a plug chop next run and see whats going on. I hope I'm not lean .
