buying a 300ex

one of my neibors is selling his 300ex but one of the timing gears and the timing chain went in the bottom end and messed it up and i was wondering if it was worth the $250 hes asking for it

does it take the valves out what the timing goes on a quad? if so i would pass on that but im by no means a 4 poker expert

You may have to invest a good bit of money to fix that motor. I would try to get him down more on the price and buy it for a part out. I don't see a 300ex as worth the investment to put all that work and money into the motor.

well if i get it i was gonna see how mutch it was gonna cost to fix it if it wasent too mutch id fix it and sell it if it was gonna be a lot of money i was gonna part it out

and i think it has a wiseco piston and it has a cobra exuast

depends how bad it's jacked and what parts will cost. Another prime example of lack of maintenance.

well he probaly dident put it toghter right 4 monts ago when he blew the motor up the first time

My dad bought one for 185 came with fmf an nerf bars full skids an itp ss rims up front an some good tires....chain flew up into the sidecase...sold it next day for 350 bucks...
