Nice pics! That sucks; good luck getting it all running again! Looks like its time for at least one new case half and a crank rebuild...

yeah deffinetly needs a crank rebuild and i might need a case half that really sucks the crazy thing is that it still started but had a bad knock in the bottom so anyway i guess i got some work to do guess ill be calling ken

^Just goes to show how tough these little engines are. Yup, Ken can rebuild your crank to better-than-factory trueness and get you back up and riding again.

^^^ yes this would be a perfect time to go bigger and better. No sense in upgrading if nothin is broke. Now that the crank is done for, might as well get a stoker.

yeah im thinking about having the cracks welded and smoothed out and yeah a stroker sounds great gotta go check on pricing now to see how much KY i need lol cuz its not gonna be cheap

What brand of piston was in it??? I see you mentioned cast, do you plan on using another cast or forged,? Was there alot of slop? Wiseco has'nt caused me any probs yet.

i would say it was a stock piston so now im looking at stroker cranks and i see vitos and hot rods what is better and will i have to trench the casings for it i was told i could put the vitos in without doing any mods and the vitos is 3mm and the hot rods is 4mm

If you're getting the case welded, you can get it trenched for the +4 stroker crank.

The +3 vito's crank does not require machining.

The difference in power output is neglegible, however, the maximum power achievable is greater with the +4 because the way that Vito's makes the +3 able to be put in without machining is by making the big end of the crankshaft smaller in diameter to fit inside the cases. The +4 requires trenching but it uses the same size bearing as the factory crankshaft. While the vito's crank can take plenty of power it cannot take the ultimate built engine like the hot rods crank can.

ok well i guess thats something to think about now what will i do to the top end thats another thing to think about i would love to do the 240 but once again that costs money too
