i know theres a sticky on this but the guy that just bored my top end told my dad when he picked it up to not worry about breaking it in and to just go beat the crap out it right away it would be great if someone like kennedy or someone with a lot of experience could answer this for me

you have to break it in unless you wanna bore it again soon!!!!!1

ps i've heard kennedy will recommend the process in the sticky,

absolutely do not go beat the balls off it immediatly. what i did with this engine wich was completly new top and bottom was rode it around for 10 mins, let completely cool off then rode it for mabey 15 mins, let it cool off. then 20 mins then after that i started riding it as i normally would just getting on it more and more with each time out. also when breaking it in make sure you are getting through the gears not just putting in 1st, and dont keep steady rpm's, vary it.

wow WTF is a spammer doing in this thread jesus christ dumbfuck get the hell out ahole
damn chinese, taiwan or whoever the f*ck it is

My break in consisted of putting around the yard a couple times, and a road trip to the gf's, which is like 5-6 miles. But I didn't get on it hard or rap it out to high rpm's for atleast a couple rides. Its held together so far and it's seen quite abit of WOT time, but I would reccomend the break in sticky, just to be sure.

i usually put it thru 2-3 5 min cycles of idling (blipping the throttle every now and then) then i ride it in 15 min intervals increasing the amount of stress i put on the engine each cycle. I usually do this for a full tank, then im off to the races! lol. The biggest thing is to vary the rpms while breaking it in, even during general riding after break in its not a good idea to ride them at a steady RPM.

ive been starting mine in the garage for 10 min intervals but giving the throttle blips [ not near wot] ive dun this at least ten times but the next time its running ill be able to ride it, im guna do 2 tanks at varied throttle puttering about stopping to cool down every 20 mins or so, then build up slowly from there.

lol your dad is like mine thats exactly what he would say to me...do it right and dont let him tell you otherwise, you need to break it in unless you want another hole in your wallet when you have to rebuild it again/!!!!!!!
