I just got a boost bottle but don't know were to mount it any advice on how to put it on right and one other thing what does a boost bottle do does it give the bike more power can someone tell me the steps on how to put it in

Boost Bottle Theory:

The boost bottle is a storage unit with a fixed volume, usually the equivalent cc of one cylinder, that stores an unused fuel-air charge. Since the fuel-air mixture moves at very high velocity while traveling through the intake manifold, the inertia and mass needs to be dissipated. This inertia forces the fuel-air mixture that’s already in the boost bottle from the previous cycle into the intake manifold, thus boosting the power. The process of storing the fuel-air charge assures there will always be a supply of freshly atomized fuel that is instantly ready at throttle up.

What all this means is the torque and horsepower is boosted at the lower levels of the power band to make quicker take-offs and faster mid-range speeds.

the bottle you can mount anywhere on the frame you want that will stay out of the way of everything else. most likely mount it on the side of the frame below the fuel tank on either side. don't know if you have stock intake manifold on carb but you will see a round black nob like thing coming out of the top of manifold and that will have to be drilled and tapped and a fitting installed for the line to be attached from intake to boost bottle, i think vito's performance has a kit for it.

i have also heard on a single cylinder they dont do anything, my understanding is a boost bottle will help in balancing the charge between multiple cylinders. but they look cool I:I

also make sure when you mount it is sealed up good, no air leaks.

go to power brokerz Toomey explains why they are a waste of money for a single cylinder but on a 2 cylinder they help.. if i were you i would just through it in the trash

I've heard that on the blasters, they are "supposed" to help if you have an oversized carb, but really if you have decent reeds and a port job and your carb is tuned correctly, you wouldn't even need one at all to store the atomized fuel, and i also heard that if there is a change in temperature that's drastic enough the gas will condensate to the inside walls of it if you're gas and air are cool enough when it's warm by the engine and outside. but that could be wrong. That's just what i've heard

i just bought a boost bottle also, but i don`t know where does it go eider. any one has a picture. or instalation instruction to help us.

I'm not trying to be a prick, but why would you spend money to buy something, when you don't know anything about it? I mean, I could understand if you got it for free, then by all means, ask away, but I don't know, it just doesn't seem to make sense to me. Personally, and maybe I'm just overcautious, if I want a certain part for my quad or whatever for that case, I do a TON of research on it beforehand. I want to hear the pros and cons, reviews from actual buyers, everything, to make sure I'm not just throwing my money down the toilet. Just my $.02
