blaster probs

if it got better since the other jet, try going a little bit lower. im not going to say too much because im not too sure what u mean by preignition lol

it means something like a pinging noise in the exhaust and it only happins at certain points in the throttle.. sometimes its smooth sounding, and when it sounds like that while im ridding man it halls some a** !!! lmao

ok. i know what ur talking about now lol.
check your plug for a nice clean plug. if it has silver flakes on it, its bad.
and try running like a 93 octane. ive heard pinging was from a lower octane but when they switched it goes away

ok make sure you are running 91-93 octane gas. i would richin your pilot jet one size and see how it does. i think you said you had a 50 in it go to a 52 and try it. you want to have your idle air screw at 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 turns out adjust your pilot until you get that. when your pilot is better it wont hang up in rpm's when you rev it and let off. make sure when you think you have your jetting close you do a plug chop to see how your doing.

i run 93 in my quad. i dont have a 52 but i do have a 50. i will order one tho. i was quite surprised in how much of a difference there was!

i tryed a 55 pilot jet and its better but not good enough. i try the air srcew and it makes it worse and better but still hangs up a lil when leting off the throttle.

If your rpms are hanging when you let off the throttle, it's a sign of running lean or an airleak. If you are changing jets and not getting any results, check for an air leak first.

yeah i was rerading yellowdogracing.com. that sums up alot of question i have. now i just need to follow the steps in jetting a carb because its pretty well explained.

did you try and spary some carb cleaner around the base gasket, head gasket etc. and see if it idles up. if their is an air leak somewhere and you spray that on an area it will idle up.
