boost bottles are designed for 2 stroke engines without reed valves . They can be adapted but It not only takes some machine work , but it must also be designed to the volume of the cylinder as well.They aren't one size fits all.
boost bottles work, no question... MotoGP bikes run them for a reason.
However on a slower revving engine and smaller carbed bikes like the blaster they are not as important.
what they are designed to to is hold the intake charge during rapid opening and closing of the throttle. I the volume is incorrect it wont work as it should.
with the introduction of lightweight reeds and dual stage reeds, boost bottles are not needed for most 2 strokes anymore
Just another place for another air leak to happen.
