Best Older Quads To Have?

Hi so im going to be looking to get a older quad and looking for suggestions on what to get.

do like the look of the Suzuki Lt250r but im not sure if theres alot of them about..

cheers also information on what sort of price they are worth non running or running... it will be a project il be looking at

around here an lt250r goes from about 1500-3000. i payed 1500 for mine and got about 600 into it.

i would check out atc250r's and tri-z's. they could be fun!!! hard to find in decent shape though. more of a buy and build type deal with those.

Theyre not that fast.and if you found one youd be a fool to do anything but restore it since they are so rare.

If you want an oldschool quad you can mod with tons of support from the aftermarket get a BANSHEE!

They have the same following maybe bigger that you see here with blasters.

The best part is they respond to mods extremely well.

Trust me find someone willing to let you have a run on one you will be hooked!

thanks guys! i think il need to go with a tecate 4 as the lt250rs as rare as f*ck in the uk and to get it imported from the us its costing around £5000 for taxes.

when lookin at LT250r, try and find one 87 and newer. the 85-86 were a case reed motor and didnt/wont develop much HP. In addition they were prone to the frames cracking around the upper shock mounts.

no i can't find any but iv only ever seen tecate 4s for sale in my country. i do have ad for a lt250r its just been fully rebuild and looks good runs perfect guy is after £1800 for it but i can't afford to buy one to the end of december

IMM SOORRYY/ theres alot of ltr guys on here for some reason :S??
but were da hell did honda ever go . wasnt the TRX250r the one that was kingged the name the "250r". these are least rare (around here atleast) and sold for most years???

i always liked the 350x atcs aswell there sweet old machines scatchy thoo.

Personally I would go with a trx 250r.. they have a killer aftermarket an have a huge following.. considering its one of the greatest quads ever built..
