bad piston, bored?

if there isnt scratching or scoring on the cylinder wall or piston... id say that youre good to go. couldnt hurt to do a compression check on it though. i believe good compression number should be around 45 psi ?? correct me if im mistaken.

also, check out the play in the crank bearing since youre in there.

I believe stock pressure is something like135psi isn't it, I think anything over 120 is good though, I'm no expert though

Indeed, get a mic. You can't measure hundreths and thousandths of an inch with a tape measure. Or have a shop do it for you

^^^Yep, I would bet your original measurements are off a bit too. Most bikes shops or machine shops will measure it for free. But it is the cylinder you need to measure. The piston will be smaller than the rated bore size. The rings you order will be to fit the cylinder size. They will also be able to determine your current piston to wall clearance.

If you feel like being fair about it, you can always pony up the extra couple bucks to order your parts through the same shop.

Yep, .020 over. Have him measure the cylinder. Ideally it would have been exactly 66.50mm. A couple thousandths (inches) is normal clearance between the piston and wall (new bore). There will be some wear, but you don't want too much.
