anyone else tempted to trade for a 4 stroke?

i know man i dont see why some people say they would not trade there blasty for anything lol

i mean reallly come on have they even rode anything besides a blaster 8-|

i will have a yfz450 soon even if i have to sell the newly rebuilt blasty :D

Lets see.I would trade mine for a LT 250R,LT 500,TRX250R,,or maybe a nice 400EX.No Banshee.To much money to mod and rebuild.

the resale value on 450's are much higher and you can get much more money back on them which if you put in the kind of money most people in the industry do, helps

tbh ive never rode a 4 stroke quad before ive got the banshee which is a lot of fun but from what ive heard the powers a lot more accessible
lol ill have one 2 only thing stopping me is buying my first car haha still the blaster is a lot of fun but it not being competitive in any of the tracks or with anyone else i ride with is kinda crap.
 
You just can't beat a 2stroke for its cheapness, fun factor, and soooo easy to work on. And if you know how to get them tuned right (at least in the ball park) and maintain them ( fresh fluids, clean filter) they will last long time problem free no matter how you ride.. ( break-in is very importaint in longevity)

But on topic I would do it for a nice 250f bike or 400ex.... but what fool would trade one of those for a blaster?

What are you saying!I traded my 90 250R bike for a blaster and a lt230.You can call me a fool.I'll trade ANY bike for an ATV.DIRT BIKES SUCK!!!!!lol.Im just hooked on drifting.
 
i never said i wouldnt trade my blaster.... i traded my last one for a cr250...... if i were to buy a 4 stroke.. honestly id rather have a 300ex or 350x.... 'low performance 4 stroke' ahrldy EVERY gotta touch them besides change oil and adjust the valves once every 8746584653495603564567609573965806t.2 hours lol
 
dont be fooled most of the new 4 strokes are becoming high to main tane there not like the older 4 strokes easy to maintane and u can actualy work on the damb things your self. i guess since they dont have the 2 stroke market any more they got to make up the diff on the new 4 stroke side for maintenance.

Very ture! These modern ( aka borrowed f1 tech ) 4strokes are cool but the maintance is worse then 2strokes and the bill to re-build them is insane.... and working on them? forget it.. they suck!!

they arent your good old honda xr that are bomb-proof.
Babying them and maticuasly( spell?) working on them can make them last longer, but they are still time bombs!!
At least the 450 atv's are de-tuned, that does greatlly inprove their life.

Man you sound no better them someone who calls quads tractors... you gotta know and ride all to be a true rider... thats just being ignorant. I agree I'm hooked on quads too, I love drifting and most important all the customization!!!!! :D Plus I cant find bikes were I live :( Its been 4 long years since I've had a running bike... way too long. Maybe I should steal my friends hahaha

I've owned many dirt bikes and rode even more.After ridding a sport atv,i was hooked.Got my cr250r.Had it for a week and traded it off.I did not like it.I do not like dirt bikes anymore.So,why are you saying im wrong?
 
i havent had a problem with my blaster since i bought it but a gas tank full of plastic and leaves and pine needles and the list goes on when i rebuilt it the piston wa black as hell it was cracked in like 5 places and it still never left me stranded my blaster is the best 800 i spent and i barley put any money into it o and it came with tires rims bumpers brake pads brake cables so yea best 800 i spent

i dont know why alot of you have so much problems with 2 strokes.. iv got 7 hours on a plug so far, and i beat my blaster like a $2 redheaded whore step child!!

back to back to back to back none stop drag races threw a field, shootin a hill over and over at like 9k rpms in 3rd..... over and over and over roosts threw a wet spot in the field, wide open passes down the road, launches and more launches

ya know what happened??? my silencer fell off once....

from what i see alot of people have problems even lookin at there blaster and it brakes i beat my HARD and she treats me good

i have to agree with fed, i did most of the same stuff as he's done with his and knock on wood nothing mechanical has gone wrong, just little issues that need to be worked out with the motor swap to handle the power

I love both, they have there advantages and disadvantages, Bikes arent reliable because they arent detuned, but quads are reliable, but bikes are faster. I will be rebuilding this 125 that i have alot, In my manual it says change the piston and rings every 3 hours (what the f**ck?)and im already needing fork seals, and a chain. So i will most likely be riding the blaster alot more when its fixed. And i wouldent trade the blasty for a 4 stroke turd i hate them.
