Alright fellas, here is the run down.... Picked up an 04 blaster several months ago to tear into and rebuild/learn as i go. Thought it would be a simple little project to keep me busy, have some mechanical experience, have been riding my whole life but never have messed with a blaster. After hours of reading forums here over and over i think i have about come to the finish line (Thanks for the help). So far i have added and or fixed:
-top end rebuild (factory bore wiseco)
-oil seals
-carb rebuild
-tors delete
-oil block off kit
-P.C. exhaust
-Vforce 4 reeds
-banshee rear axle
-ASR +3 +2 a-arms
-yfz 450 shocks
Im sure im forgetting a couple of things but you get the idea.
Now that it is up and running the engine has a little over a hour on it after break in..... And now the questions.......
This stubborn thing seems to have no bottom end. Just bogs really bad until you get up over half throttle. jetting issues? I am still running all factory jetting. Ive researched forums here to try and get an understanding of how it works. This whole 2-stroke thing is all new to me, as far as maintenance goes anyways. I read somewhere that you should put 2 hours on it before you worry about it?? to make sure the rings are seated? Seems like alot to me but what do i know? Im learning. Also every now and then the clutch will slip? Not very often. Just seems to me a random thing. Adjustment rod maybe?
