I found a guy on CL who has an '86 yamaha tri-z missing the front forks and wheel. He says the trike runs and is nearly stock except for the aforementioned missing parts

I have a camper in my front yard. Technically it's my parents camper but was "given" to me by dropping it off in my front yard going on two years ago. It has a bum carburetor and I don't feel like working on it so it has pretty much just sat there. I tried putting it on CL last year and got a few bites but no one showed up with cash in their hands. To say that I don't have an intimate attachment to this camper is an understatement. The guy is looking for a camper and doesn't mind wrenching.

I told him that a camper in fix-r-up condition is worth more than a tri-z in fix-r-up condition so he said he'll throw in a JVC HD camcorder bought this year (which I could use to film the kiddies and my wife would love)

The main trouble is, he's located almost in Goldsboro so the ride is too long to just "go take a look at it" to tell condition. I requested bunches of pictures to be able to tell the condition of the trike as best I can through pics.

I know we're talking about trading one broke down piece for another broke down piece but what do you guys think of the trade?

camper = trike + camcorder

since you seem to hate the camper i would go for it, trikes take up less space, are more fun and not as ass ugly to look at sitting in the yard haha I:I I:I

it is up to you. i say the camper would more than the trike and camera. if the camper is just taking up space, then do it. the trike might be worth more to you than the camper.

I'm kind of a trike lover. I have a picture of me riding a ATC110 when I was about 5. I've owned two trikes in my adult life. Both honda 4 pokes (a 200 and a 185S) and loved them.

I don't love the camper and even if I put it all back up to running shape would only use it twice a year....going to BUSCO!!! haha!

Ha it could also give me more headache. I can't justify riding nearly 2 hours one way just to look at a potential trade. I wonder if I can trust the guy to give me an accurate compression test result...

I know I'd tell the truth about it but I don't know that he will... I already told him about the quirks of the camper.

i am up for trading it personally. if it aint a this kind of motor home, it aint worth keeping lol.

i would love those motor homes just to but quads in there and not a car lol.

dude if i could get the wife to let me have another wheeler and could find a tri z for a decent price i would def get on it,, well i am getting another bike whether she likes it or not...but thats besides the point,do the trade

6 months from now you can be staring at a broke azz camper in the yard or riding the new bike you fixed up over the winter. Get the bike
