Can i just buy the adjustable plate and bolt my stator onto it? i was thinking about the ricky stator one for 35 bucks looks simple and quality, or theres some aluminum "pro design billet" one for 80 bucks which seems a little crazy to me :-/ Has anyone used the ricky stator one if so do you like it?

need to go +5 adv. with my build I:I

If I am not mistaken, YB had a *4 advance, but with the Kennedy build it was recommended for him to suppress the advance timing back to stock.

Sound about right YB??

Can you give their reasoning to this if so?

Well, you better GIDDY up there Freek, haha...

Still plannin on trying to get to Fenoff next SAT?
Hope so, if not, hope we can meet up sometime there through the season. I am gonna check it out next SAT, and see how it goes. Fingers crossed...

What I'm wondering is that with the minor mods i have is it beneficial to get the ricky plate rather than do the dremmel mod? I have the gaskets brand new and don't want to waste them. My plans are to do the +3 stroker with the aggressive trail port, redesign head setup....Spend the money and get the ricky plate? Sorry holeshot don't mean to thread jack.

I Have 2 adjustable plates. One is by RM stator and the other by ricky stator.Ricky stator has a bad rep for there stators. Both plates have held up great for me.You here me master P.lol

Thanks bro,Yes you can use the stock stator as freek said you need to switch it all over to the new plate. Here is some pics I have in the collection of when I did mine. There is no tywraps on the wiring in the pics but there needs to be 2 small tywraps around the wiring to the plate. You need to cut the old plate so you can get the wiring out.Hope this helps.
