acceleration loss:(

went to a 20" tire and noticed a loss in acceration. obviously this has changed the effective gear ratio and now ill have to go to a different drive set up in order to obtain the same performance as before.

-- any suggestions for a good ratio when running 20's? btw im looking for acceleration.

Well you must have been running some 18's then. What is your current gear ratio? I run 14/40 with 22's and have power all around.

14/40 with 20" tires. i was thinkin of goin to like a 42 tooth sprocket or maybe even a 44.

or go to a stock 13 for more acceleration, but i also run 14/40 with the 20" tiers and it is perrrrrfect

I run 14/40 with 22's and have plenty of acceleration

I'm running a 15/40 with 20" tires (my quad had 18's on it before I bought it but I thought they looked goofy) and in a drag race with a buddy with 13/40 and 20's I can't get him "out of the hole" the extra gear shift he has to make is made up and back over... Once it gets to the RPM range, that long gearing holds it there.

more acceleration = front sprocket down or back sprocket up or tire size down

more top speed = front sprocket up or back sprocket down or tire size up.

If you take off two inches from the tire size, raise the front sprocket one tooth for stock ratio.

with 14/40 and 22's I'm even with a atc350x (which is even agaisnt a 400ex) till I run out of gear that is, haha.

alright. sounds good. thanks btw also, what banshee suspension components fit on a blaster? (a arms, axles, shocks etc.)
